 After over one year since it was first mentioned, the RVLution 2.0 plan is finally becoming real.

The board software has been replaced with Blargboard, which should definitely be a lot cooler than the old phpBB. I will let you discover what the new features are.

All the posts from the previous board have been imported, so you aren't losing anything.


We aren't done setting up the new board yet. This green theme will be replaced with something better. Appropriate tweaks will be done in due time. Some missing features (like the interface to upload post attachments) will be added later on.

If you find anything that went wrong, or have any suggestion for this board, tell us!

I like to make Newer Hacks more than NSMBW Hacks. Im working on a hack called
SMB: Firing Plains. I will make a sequel after called SMB: Mushroom Skies. I like making Maps.

 The new board looks really great and I like all the new functions!

I have some questions though:
1) Someone posted a link to "Last Posts" and I found the site that shows the online users. Can someone please post links to other special pages?
2) How can I change the date to show as: Last post xx mins ago, xx hrs ago etc (instead of the full date)?
3) The signature box requires me to place an opening <div>, otherwise it shows me a </div> at the end of the signature.
4) Does blocking a user's theme block all his themes, even future ones, or does it only block the active theme?

This has now been added. Hover over the "Forums" dropdown on the navigation bar for a full list.

Not currently implemented, as far as I believe -- though StapleButter may be able to give more info on this.

 The board already has a function for generating relative dates, it's in use on profile comments. I could make it be used in other places. There are a few issues, though.

For example, if your date is '3 days ago', everything is fine. But if it's a full timestamp, depending on how it's laid out, it could be either 'Last post on 02-04-14, 09:01 pm' in the mobile layout, or '02-04-14, 09:01 pm' alone in the regular layout. This is problematic.


As for the <div> thing-- if you leave your postheader empty, the board assumes you only have a signature, and surrounds it in a div. Maybe that went wrong somehow-- will look into it.


And blocking a user's layout blocks it forever, unless you unblock it later on, so yeah.

I found relative dates quite useful for pages like "Last Posts", personal messages etc...
The div issue is really strange, because I didn't use any divs in the signature.

 It works fine on my local test board, so I don't know what could be wrong here.

Also birthdays may be subject to timezone warps. It's unclear which timezones should be used... the birthdayer? the viewer? both?

edit: I think changing names should not be allowed by members or restricted to once every few months at best. Really I think it should be an Administrator approved thing.

 But aren't the login names displayed in their profile page? I think it's just a display name in the posts, while people will still know who they are when they browse the user's bio page.

If you let your mouse over someone's name, it tells you their real name, too.

Anyway, there's a permission for using display names, so we can block individual users and whole usergroups from using them.
