Hey everyone,

I'm working on a level where I want to use the magic platform. I'm trying to make it so that when you step on a bridge, the bridge falls down, rendering it unusable. I'm experiencing some weird problems with the Magic Platform, though; on one of the platforms, the collision itself works but the platform graphic does not move. On the other platforms, when you step on them a copy goes down, but the original stays put. Can someone help? :?

You have to put the original with the Location somewhere under or over the zone so you can't see it in the level. You put the sprite there where the Bridge shoud be in the level, set Location ID, Tigger Event ID, Speed, etc. and it's ready for playing.

How exactly do you even use magic platform to make tiles move up and down continuesly? Also sorry for the minor bump...

Somehow make the event deactivate when the tiles arrive at the top so they go back down and then reactivate it when they reach the bottom.

You can use the Event Looper (sprite 79 I believe) and set it so that one event is activated for a certain amount of time (you magic platform) and while it is off, another event is on.

I knew this by looking at how it is used in Newer.
All the answers are there.

You can use all kinds of switches to let them move manually, but for automatic movement, I'd also recommend the Event Looper.

First you need to trigger the Event Looper, for example with a default event. Then, fill out "Start Event ID" and "End Event ID", e.g. ID 35 and ID 36. Fill out the "Delay" field (6 ~ 1sec., 24 ~ 4sec., 25+ makes the delay shorter again). Now, set your Magic Platforms to move while Event ID 35 is on. It will move while 35 is activated, and return while 36 is activated (35 automagically turned off).

Use more events in between the one you want to trigger (35-37 etc...) to create even longer delays.
