Yes, it's been ages since RVLution 2.0 was first mentioned. Some may have doubted about it. Some may even have thought it was given up.
It's getting real.
It will happen as soon as Ninjifox gets access to the new server.
Basically, expect a downtime in the next few days. The current board will be closed until the new one is set up.
IMPORTANT NOTE -- Backup your stuff!
If you don't have your Depot submissions on your HDD, be sure to back them up, as the new Depot will likely be cleared.
PM drafts won't be ported over correctly. If you have drafts, either send them or delete them.
Back up your avatar and other profile settings, too. We never know.
Make sure you have a valid email address entered. If you fail to log in on the new board, you'll be able to request a new password.

Edit: I have a question and a suggestion.
Question: For us users, will there be any super-cool new features, or will it be mostly for the mods and admins?
Suggestion: When the wiki is ported over, it should get redone with new content so that it is more useful. The only thing I've really ever used the Wiki for is XMLs. It should have lots of info about NSMBW hacking.

Go ahead and backup your stuff. The new Depot will require mod approval though, so it's not sure it will get in again.

Yay , all my precious PMs will be saved . Might as well backup my stuff before going on hiatus. Also what the heck are drafts :lol: :? ? Also will there be any new mods to help moderate RVL 2.0? Also what mods will approve depot subs? And will you be able to submit others files (like music, textures, ect)?

Because it stores passwords in a different, incompatible way from this board.
Old passwords will be handled and converted so this shouldn't be a problem, but we never know.

Because I have been at RVLution since 2011, I've gotten used to
that Complex BBCode and the Rest of the phpBB "Shit".
Will there be any big Changeovers?

Most basic BBCode will work the same on the new board. The rest (color/size for example) will be doable with HTML (which should also discourage people from abusing it).
So uh, nothing big.
For the Depot, we'll see. The existing one will be archived, I guess. It will be integrated into the board at some point.
I also didn't mention another thing that is going bye bye: friends/foes.
This isn't Facebook. Friend lists are a good feature to have when your board is huge, but not so much in the case of RVLution. We're supposed to be one community, not encourage circlejerks.
And foes, uh, what's up with that. It's just good to cause drama.
