Yet another of these NSMB ports for NSMBW, but who cares, right?

This hack is made just by interest and not to outdo other NSMB ports / hacks. We're trying to remake every level looking as similar as possible like in the original game. But it will be designed to be playable til up to 4 players without any issues. Mainly working on this hack on weekends.
Total progress: 20%.
And some info you should know:
-We're rebuilding every level from NSMB DS. At least as good as possible, since some elements are missing in the Wii version.
-You'll only hear original soundtracks and not remixes or completely new tracks. BTW, the tracks are already done to 70%.
-Custom World maps will be created
-I'm afraid to tell you that you won't be facing the original castle bosses. It's nearly impossible for beginning hackers to programm custom bosses that don't exist in the game.
-We're thinking of a developer-group-name. Suggestions will only be taken by members. Member list is down below.

-Zuechti (creates world maps)
-SY24 (creates levels, converts soundtracks and edits in-game appearing images. Translates into german and english)
We're looking for:
-Maybe someone who can help Zuechti with the maps, just if necessary.
-People who can build levels 1:1 to a template.

The World 1 tower in all its glory. It also features the secret exit, which is enterable with the Penguin-Suit.
The grey moving blocks are also supported, even those with spikes on the left side. As already mentioned,
there won't be custom bosses in towers and castles, so you'll just face Larry once more.
The secret World 1 A level with a long underwater part. It's already complete, at least as far as possible. The enemy Sushi couldn't get added.
It's undescribeable. Didn't everyone sing to that epic soundtrack back these days? That's why all of these castle levels count to my favourites.

A level that introduced Lakitu to NSMB. The remake for our hack features everything from the original, such as the bouncing mush's near the end, the bonus stage - which is only reachable by stealing Lakitus cloud and entering a pipe hanging down from the sky - and of course the oasis-like ground. Just the platforms with red Koopas on it were replaced by normal platforms.
Most peoples favourite level, because it features a great sewer atmosphere everyone expects from Mario. Due to unexplainable graphical issues layer 0 was used to remove those. So sometimes it might look like that Mario get's covered by objects, but just on a very few edges.

The World 2 Tower got some changes. As you see, the spinning 4-armed platforms got replaced by the Tetris-Blocks from W3-Tower.
The level is still as challenging as before, but the time limit got increased to 500 secs du to exploring difficulties in the DS version.
And what might interest you the most is how we replace the sprites that don't exist in NSMBW. In the spoiler below are some comparisons
Balance platforms like in 1-2 get replaced by Wiimote platforms
Movable ground like in 2-Castle gets ignored. The P-Switch destroys the stone blocks to open passage.

Everyone starts this way, cause noone does know how to start properly in the beginning. Thats a Problem.
Zuechti just told me some time ago, that you need a Base for your Hack and not starting by a Logo or beginning your Thread too early. I took that with care for my hack, thats why my Thread will come out in 3 or 4 Weeks. There are so many awesome Hacks being cancelled, because theres a Thread and a Logo, but then you fail at Levels or Maps, what really is needed. _________________________

SY24, This is a very nice "NSMBDS port" NSMBWii project.

Hm, it's a pretty accurate replica. I'm wondering how you'll do the bosses, though, especially the ones that you have to defeat with a Mini Mushroom to unlock the secret worlds. I'm guessing you're just going to remove that anyhow, since it's not like you're creating a world map or anything, I'm guessing.

Not necessarily: the DS version has only "New Super Mario Bros."; i.e. this one has "DS" the original logo doesn't. That being said, don't worry about the logo, just focus on your levels.
