Hello Rvlution people! I'd like to show you a hack i'm working on called Cliff Super Mario Bros Wii (as you can tell by the thread title and that I've showed the logo 1 million times )
This hack will include:
-Over 18 all-new levels spread across world 6 and 7
-22 new enemies and goodies
-11 new tilesets
-And 47 custom music files in total
Levels: 97.01%
Tilesets: 98.23%
World Maps: 100.00%
Music: 100.00%
Layouts and Logo: 89.02%
Sprite Retextures: 100.00%
XML: 100.00%

-3 more levels-
-Create a new background layout for the file select screen-
-Apply maintenance to almost all of the created levels-
-Create two more tilesets-
Goal: Release a quality hack that takes place in world 6 and 7 complete with custom retextures and music. Thanks guys! I'm really taking my time on this one, a lot of people just slap around a bunch of ridiculous tiling errors and call it a day. I'm not that kind of person _________________________

GoronGuy123, I have a question. How will there be over 20 levels, if the hack only takes place in world 6 and 7? I'm asking this because world 6 and 7 both contain 9 levels, for a total of 18 levels. Did you make a mistake when you said that, or will there be a few levels in world 1?

There's going to be a hidden level In world 1 (due to the background glitches ) and in world 8, a level where you just have to turn back.
There will be 2 more levels to play in world 9. _________________________

Ok, cool. Also, I know you can modify the save file so players can start in any world, but how will you get players from world 7, to 9?

Oh, good question, I haven't thought of that I don't really now how I'll be able to do that Maybe some kind of ASM that world 9 would already have been unlocked as if you completed the final boss, But I'm no good at coding, so for me, it's impossible _________________________
If you want, you could extend this hack to include a few world 8 levels. You can make 8-2 only have a secret exit, so you can advance to 8-7. In conclusion, this would lead you to world 9, while also making world 8 shorter.

I suppose I could extend it by a bit, but I planned for Peach's castle to be the credits level, and even though I have the capability of editing the staffroll, it still wouldn't make sense What I could do is just discard the world 9 levels, and just not include them in the hack. (Again, unless someone can make an ASM for me ) I had no plans for a secret level for world 7 in world 9 anyway _________________________

Ahem. Well, what can I say...? The level design seems solid, it's better than that of other hacks I've seen so far. It's not perfect and does need a bit of improvement, but it's nowhere near bad. First thing I noticed is that the pale background...ground is too flat, especially the sides/walls could use some more bumps and whatnot. Try not simply "dragging them out of the ground", stack them, make them have multiple layers and so on and so forth. Another thing is that you used the mountain background wall tileset (brown/blue one with the curly fossils) wrong. There are alignment errors everywhere. It's simply not "seamless". Sure, that tileset is a bit tricky to use, but make sure the tiles line up properly and don't look like a puzzle put together by a blind person.
Other than that your level design is actually pretty good, keep going.

I already know what to do with the NSMBW save files, I create a new save file and have it so the only playable level is 1-1.
After that, I open it up in Tanooki Save Editor, and make the players start in world 6, It'll also be available in all regions

Yeah, The tileset's I'm no good at include, any of the airship tilesets, the sandstone tilesets, and the hardest one to me... The bridge tileset from NewerSMBW Yet, I seem to do the just fine for all the rest of the tilesets in the game. (Unless their broken ) But the most embarrassing outcome might be, that I may end up having to hire someone to do the airship level for me
