This is our first New Super Mario Bros. Wii hack ever: Neo Mario Brothers Rii (you can also call it Neo Rii). It also has some features from Newer.

Features:
- Explore new levels (exact number is unknown)
- Enjoy awesome retextures
- Listen to cool new music
- New text

- New Objects
- New Main Menu graphics [from Newer Summer Sun]

You can't merge the two different source codes. :| If you wanna include Newer Features, you have to make it a Newer hack. :|

If everything works fine with the Hammer Suit and Yoshi colors, I'll use the Newer Engine.
EDIT: Is there a special Reggie! version for Newer?

Yes, there are versions of Reggie! that have all the Newer Sprites. Also, if you're gonna use the Newer Engine, you can't have a Peach's Castle or Cannon Level.

I don't know how to edit World Maps yet, so I can't say the exact number.
I also don't know how to edit the Level names and banners.

You can change level names with the Level Info Editor. It's around here on RVLution somewhere. And to change the HUD colours, you need to change the html colour codes in the World Editor. The World Editor is part of Koopatlas.

Technically, you can have a Peach Castle Level. Just make something like Yoshi's House, but with Peach's Castle, duh.

I also see that the Newer files are LH compressed. I know how to decompress them, but how to compress them?
EDIT: I don't switch to the Newer Engine for first!

Hello Aurum, welcome!

This looks like a genuine hack. The screenshots reveal, that you know how to use tiles correctly and know about level composition. What I like even more: you have realistic targets for your project!

I would also recommend that you use Newer as the base for your project. You can recreate the missing things easily (as Atomic Python has pointed out for Peach's Castle). Instead of the cannons you can use overworld pipes (just like in SMW), that were introduced with Newer.

There's no need to compress your level files back to .arc.LH, the game reads both formats.
