 Hey guys, new to the forum here and modding NSMBW. First of all I must say I'm super impressed at the amount of work and effort from the team at Newer for creating such an amazing modification. Now, I've had a lot of fun playing the DS version of NSMB and the Mario vs Luigi game mode is fantastic. It would be awesome if this could be created for the Wii.

There are many obstacles though.

First of all, the camera is one problem seeing as the two player required two DS', it would need to be done split screen or by expanding the camera if the two players moved away (like how it does already only not cut the other play off for being too far)

Then there is the stars and coins. It would need some kind of counting system that upon 8 coins, a random star appears out at a specified location on the map. If 5 stars have been collected by a specified player, then the match is won. So far the idea of points per character is the only way that I can think of this possibly working.

Another problem is the damage system. Finding how to make it so when you jump on the other player's head or get shot by fire, you don't loose your power, but you loose your star that you're collecting. And then make it possible for the other player to steal that star.

Then the last problem I foresee is that in one level there are pipes that you can go through. They don't lead to another area but are connected by a pathway. So, you can go from one side to the other. The problem is that you can't individually go through pipes as you must go together so this could be a problem possible too big to try fix.


Now, this is super ambitious I know but it would be so interesting and fun if it worked out let me know what you think!

Otherwise, I might just stick to rebuilding the DS levels haha
