Multi-Channel Creator
Multiple songs to use in the BRSTM
(Optional, but recommended): BrawlBox
A song editor to import MP3's, split stereo tracks to Mono and export as WAV. For this, I'll use Audacity.
A text editor able to edit batch files
Personal List Later on, once this tutorial is done, Finish program that automates the process
First off, import your 2 songs into your audio editor:
I'll be using The Deadly Six Theme as my first 2 channels, and Dragon Dance, as my last 2 channels.
Split both songs into mono tracks:
Export them both as .WAV:
OPTIONAL: Using BrawlBox, convert them to BRSTM's to find loop points
Place the WAV's in same folder as the Multi-Channel Creator:
Copy the songs as much as needed
If you are using the batch file for 4Channels, copy both songs twice, and rename the copies 1,2,3,4.
Using this method, gives you control over which songs play first. Since I want Deadly Six to play first, I would rename the copies 1.wav, and 2.wav, and would rename the copies of Dragon Dance 3.wav, and 4.wav.
Using your text editor, edit your batch accordingly, based on your found loop points:
Example:
The bolded loop points is where I put the new loop points for Dragon Dance, and the Italics are where I put Deadly Six's loop points.
Save the batch file and run it.
You now have your 4 Channel BRSTM with Multiple songs. Essentially, using this guide, you could have even more than 2 songs: Example - I could have 4 songs in a 4channel brstm. Or have 8 in a 8channel BRSTM.
I hope to see more BRSTM's like this. And oh yeah, don't forget to rename and patch your BRSAR to the BRSTM.
Optional: Open your BRSTM in the newest BrawlBox and preview your beautiful 2 song layered BRSTM!
I'll create a program to simplify the process later on.
Oh yeah, if anyone wanted it, have the BRSTM I created during this tutorial. I had fun making it!
