IEDIT: I think that the 0-10 rating system could be replaced by a 0-5 star sort of thing.
I think X/5 star ratings work best. I have never been too fond of the "liking" systems.

Also I'd like it if wen you rate you would HAVE TO write a little note saying why you gave it the rating you did, and I'd like it if the one that uploaded the submission could view who rating his/her's submission, what they rated, and why, so if trolls just rate yours hate they'd probably just write something like ngcngf, thus, you could tell if that's what they actually thought of the submission or if it's just trolling. And I'd like it if mods/admans could view the same things as the uploader, except mods/admanx can delete ratings if they believe that rating was simply trolling.
Requiring a message for ratings sounds like a decent idea. However, I don't know if it's a good idea to show who made specific ratings because it might put people off from voting. (Mods would still be able to view that info.)
That sounds pretty great to me. Requiring people to post a comment to rate and onlying their rating to moderators is the best approach in my opinion. _________________________

I don't see the point in making such a complicated rating system, a meer Like Dislike system ala YouTube would be just fine. And please add a way to Favorite content so you can easly access them at any time.
Yesterday I pretty much finished the small (unrelated to game hacking) project that I started a week ago, so... I'll try and get back to working on this later/tomorrow.
I'm almost considering putting the depot on hold for now and finishing up the stuff remaining to get an initial version of RVL 2.0 off the ground as a forum+wiki. I can't imagine RVLution would be any worse without an active Depot for a while, given the quality of recently added content on the current version :/ _________________________
Ok, wouldn't hurt much. It would give me more time for other things when I usually would check the depot shortly. And you're unfortunately right. The content isn't really much worthy.
And I can imagine how you have to feel now. Thinking at your amount of work let me get a bit desperation how that should be managed once. I have no solution for this problem but I know how the will and ambition for the completion feels like. Best would be to continue with that what takes the least time in your opinion and trying not to deal with so many stuff. In my case, when I should finish and release some time a hack, then it will be rather a giant Mini-Hack. Not a hack with completely new Layout everywhere or cutscenes but a hack with some levels, a little bit new layout, hopefully a koopatlas 3D map and some fresh new unreleased tilesets, though, selfmade music is likely my most uncertain topic I have to deal with. Hopefully we get once support from other well versed people. Otherwise the NSMBW hacking scene seems to end their development there where it is now... _________________________

i have an idea how about a score system if some one rates 8 the level maker will get 8 points and another rates 0 he will get no points points another rates 7 his score become 15 the higher the score the more popular it gets and it will solve the trolls problem since they will be like they never rated and if the level is really bad if 5 people rate it 0 in row the post would be sent atuomatically to a moderator to check if its bad and if it is it will be deleted (not trying to increase the pressure but as the new forum is released more mods is a must) _________________________

That can't be done in this way. It only would be fair to give everyone a chance to rate (note that we are no dictatorship) and a summary of all rates is not representative enough because here it depends on the amount of people having rated and the amount of raters doesn't improve a submission's quality at all. Showing each single rate with the name of the rater without a comparision to other submissions makes it most representative and fair (everyone could decide by himself how good it is) and also, you should have the possibility to see all previous rates from any rater to evaluate, if this user is a troll or if this user always gives too much points. However, in the worst case one could still try to reduce the effect of troll rates but that wouldn't help to improve serious rates from trolls. As well we could talk about the fact that we replace the 0 rate by a report button for really inappropriate content.
I think, rates are always personal (even the ones of professionals) and can't be taken as means of comparision. There has to be something else used to measure the qualities of submissions or still better, no quality measuring because this kind of competition and comparision with others is needless. People just feel bad by that and that's not our target. People should write comments if they like it or want to give tips to improve the submission. Rates only should be secondary. _________________________

You know there are really Good Levels on the Depot but its a Shame they get rated whit 0-3 like Trolls do.So an Idea that you maybe do something against this if its possible. _________________________

*The ability to upload Maps (Koopatlas and Edited NSMBW)
*The ability to upload Music
*The ability to upload backgrounds
*A new background for the depot (probably a Newer background)
*Good screenshot previews (including backgrounds)
