Really? OK, sorry then. Try doing the "old" way by setting the zoom level to 0

Hey guys well i figured i might as well put something up here because i got no clue on the matter anyone know how to edit the main.dol so 2-castle doesnt read the hardcode, and lets u play it like a normal level/castle. megazig says
the game's main.dol is PowerPC binary. to edit the game's hardcoded behavior you need to find the PPC asm that corresponds to the hardcoding and modify its behavior to remove the check. there are global variables in the game for which world and level you are currently in. the checks use those to determine if you are in the level that the hardcoded behavior is for and do something different in those cases.
so if anyone know how to do this and can post it up it would not only help me, but other in the future who wanna replace 2-castle in the future. thanks

Copy the tileset files (that came with Reggie or were downloaded from TobiasAmaranth) nto the NSMB folder

Im having trouble with the Goal Flagpole, i would place it on the floor and when Mario finally gets to the spot where the Flag should be its not there, and the zoom is level is at 0 not at 1 so it shouldn't be disappearing. please help

Ever considered turning on the "Bias" setting for the zone with the Goal Flagpole? That might help.

Could someone explain to me why this keeps freezing on me? I'm testing out something that I want to put in another level (the beginning of the level - the Koopaling part), but whenever I attack Ludwig, the game freezes! None of the other Koopalings cause the game to freeze when I attack them, so can anyone figure out what Ludwig's deal is? I know he's a cocky jackass but geez... this is taking things too far! :x

I can't give you a technical explanation, but I can confirm that Ludwig does not work when you put him in a normal level. I encountered the same problem. It's either because the boss controller is missing, or because there are other bosses in the level (or both). Maybe this can be fixed.

How about checking your level to see if the goal flagpole is inside the zone border. You could also create a new zone, specifically for the goal flagpole.

When x tracking is off and y tracking is on, you can normally travel from right to left or from left to right, right? :?:
Well, when I play the level and want to travel from left to right, it just likes it keeps running against a wall!

Can someone help me, please? :|

If you hav X tracking off, Mario and the camera will be in the middle of the Zone and won't go left or right.
If you have Y tracking off, Mario cad the camera will be in the middle of the Zone and won't go up or down.

I recommend having both ON unless your level is completely vertical, you're making a SMB1 remake, or you're making a small bonus/underground area.

How do you get Bowser's sprite to work in a custom level? I've tried a couple of things, but they resulted in Bowser just standing there (I have the final boss controller in the zone by the way) or I would die instantly upon entering the zone. :?

it happen too me wen i hit ludvig
i dont think he works well i think its some sort of bug hopefully fixable

(except 2-castle)
Nothing fancy though, just using reggie normally,

try copying every thing thats on the final boss and i think it needs more than a boss controleer like the the final boss brigde piece, the small switch, large switch, and the peach cage of course
and also look at the zone settings as well for the camera to work properly
i dont know if this will work but hopefully it does
