I'm Japanese user.
When I used this program,I got an error.
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "reggie.py", line 8458, in <module>
File "reggie.py", line 8410, in main
File "reggie.py", line 140, in SetGamePath
UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 9-10: ordinal not in range(128)
Can I use it in NTSC-J?

I believe you can, but you will need to put your Stage folder in a path that doesn't have any Japanese characters in it. Something like C:\reggiedata is simple enough and should work.

I think treeki said something about clones in nsmbw. Are there clones?

Hey, Im new to this and Im not a nativ speaker.. but I will try it.

First I opened my PAL ISO, and extracted the ISO to one folder (like the help.htm told me).
After that I started Reggie, its asking me for the folder with the Textures and Levels, I "show" it and...well, its telling me that its not inside(this folder dosen't seems to have...). What can I do, is it because its PAL or something?

Im using Reggie r2 and Vista (32)

You have to point Reggie to the Stage folder, not to the game root.

We don't support piracy. Use the Reggie Dumper tool to get the required files from your retail copy of the game.

I find it strange then that the Reggie documentation tells you to use an ISO.

It was created before the editor was complete -- the dumper was written right before the Reggie release. We didn't get around to updating the documentation before the release, because we were in a hurry to get it out.

In any case, I've fixed it -- it'll be in the next commit to the git repository and the next Reggie release, whenever I update something else.

Hacking a real game isn't legal itself, seriously, you shoulda thought about that before posting this comment Treecki

It's not illegal -- at worst, it's a grey area; at best, it's fair use. If we distributed Nintendo's copyrighted files and/or charged for Reggie, then it would definitely be illegal.
