The Curse of Black Toad: v2!

Hey everybody! It's been awhile, eh?

You remember my hack, CBT, right? (And how buggy it was...)

Well, I cleaned it up. I filled world 1 with all the decent not stolen levels we had. Unfortunately, none of the towers or castles that were original were decent, so we used normal levels in their place.

The new version is fully tested, and even has some added goodies! They are:

white toad houses, new w1 texture, new xml, and more!

Level info:

01-01: Starts out like the original DK arcade game, but turns into the first level in DKCR! Made by me.

01-02: A dual level between sky and underground! Made by MetalKingBoo, a Toad Team member.

01-03: A desert temple! Made by me.

01-Tower: A 2-way chocolate penguin sledding course! Perfect for multiplayer. Made by me.

01-04: Everything that chomps in one ocean! Made by MetalKingBoo.

01-05: A cross between mountain, volcano, and ice! Made by MetalKingBoo.

01-06: A cross between desert and sky! Made by MetalKingBoo.

01-Castle: The Hunger Games! Ever read the book 'Catching Fire'? This level emulates the arena! Made by me.

just make a duplicate stone but broken down the middle as if by lightning and Tile God the sucker on top to show the broken one beneath

then Tile God the Toad in his sig into view as if he has resurrected

Hi,

Is your mod supposed to run on PAL v1 discs?

I have a PALv1 disc and after the screen, where it says to hold the controller sideways the screen stays black.

I can successfully run Newer holiday and summer special so, I am nearly sure its no user error.

Do you have an idea what could be wrong?

when he made this he only catered for NTSC not for PAL

Download PAL title here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ttrjm5zmyvi Add this line to your XML: <folder external="/YSMBMSS/Opening{$__region}" /> I'm not asking to put your file in YSMBSS, example. Then Make folders, OpeningE, and OpeningP. Put the NTSC version in OpeningE, and the Pal version in OpeningP. You can also make OpeningJ, but the Japanese version is the same as Pal.

the jap version is not the same as the PAL one there are a number of differences between them

Oh, when I looked in PAL and Jap, in the animations they both said EU. There isn't any link to a Jap openingTitle.arc, I guess my game won't support JAP.

Awesome !!!

This hack is one of the best I ever played. The hack contains difficult and some easier levels and the ideas in the levels are so epic (Mix of worldlevels and some other stuff)!

So I hope you continue the hack
