As of the first minute of release I was pretty much a noob at this. I was helped by the great people that created this software. So I will try and help get everyone started that has NO idea where to start.

MUST HAVE ORIGINAL GAME DISC!!!

First steps:

Download the reggiedumper.dol - Found Here: http://rvlution.net/reggie/reggiedumper.zip
Download the Reggie Software - Found Here: http://rvlution.net/reggie/

The Levels extracted are only 8.3 mgb

1. Unrar the Reggie Software Download.
2. Rename the Reggiedumper.dol to Boot.dol
3. Create a Folder in the apps folder of your sdcard and put the Boot.dol in it.
4. Make sure original Game Disc is in the drive.
5. Put sd card back into wii load homebrew channel
6. Load the new folder with the boot.dol in it.
7. The dumper program should extract the levels. (use the download Minimum Option)
8. The dumped game levels will go into a new folder on your sdcard called Reggie.
9. Save the Reggie folder on your Sd card to your CPU.
10. Open Reggie on your CPU and click on the folder containing the dumped files.
11. Enjoy...Now you have Reggie running with the game levels from the disc.

While in Reggie click on File, Load Level, and find the folder where your dumped levels are.

Hope this helps get people started That cant figure the first part out.

The dumper program also works with Bannerbomb. Just set up Bannerbomb as normal and place it as a boot.dol at the root of the SD card. Then, go to the SD card menu and tell it to load the boot.dol/elf. Aside from that, follow the rest of above.

And thanks for the helpful topic, BlueBleeder.

You can load your custom levels with Riivolution

You could do it also the hard way replacing it directly in the iso.

If it's not allowed to talk about it here just delete this post and I'm sorry x(

Eh, sorry for possibly dumb question, but do you need a homebrew channel to get this working? ^^'
I tried already without hbc, but when I'm trying to boot the boot.dol from the root of SD card, Wii says that 'Device in the SD card slot cannot be used'. I tried to move the boot.dol into a folder in root, but SD card menu didn't find anything. Do you just need a folder with certain name to get this working?

I'd really like to use NSBMW level editor, but I'm not sure about installing hbc.

Even if you wanted to install the HBC, you would need Bannerbomb to work in order to install it. I would try reformatting your SD card, possibly with this, or try another if you have one. It could also be that you're using an SDHC card (4GB or more) with an older system menu version, and you'll need to update for it to work.

So, without HBC and Bannerbomb you can't install this?

I uploaded my Wii to 4.2E (it was 4.1E before) and tried again. I also moved Boot.dol to 'apps' folder and root but both didn't work.

Well, without Bannerbomb you can't do anything. The HBC is optional, I just meant getting Bannebromb working is a prerequisite for installing the HBC anyway.

boot.dol must be in the root of your SD, not the apps folder. You must have the private folder from the bannerbomb download on your SD card, and have deleted your own that might've already been on it. If it really doesn't work, try what I suggested about using another SD card or formatting above.

Hi, I have a problem reggie dumper works fine on minimal dump but i always hangs on the effects folder on whole disc dump. I've tried it on both usb and sd, no go. I doesnt bother because i dumped the whole disc using wiiscrubber ages ago, I just think someone should look into it as it may be a bug. BTW My Wii is 4.1E with retail PAL Disc if that helps.

I'll run another dump to test things. Not gonna be using the Wii for a bit so I'll see if it finishes, and maybe time it.

Hmm, Effect is admittedly taking a while, but it may be a big folder. I'll give it 30 minutes and see if it changes from Effect. It may in fact be broken for the full disc rip. I know the previous loader dumped the whole disc just fine but there may be something wrong with this one.

So how did you go with the dumping? Did it finish? If not would you kindly post the other dumper you said you used.

I used Smash Stack to load this via Loadmii (I swapped discs). But when the dumper started, the Wiimote turned off, and I couldn't select anything. I have Dumper, Riivolution, Loadmii, and Smash Stack on the SD card and am on 4.3. Everything is fine until the dumper starts.

What's wrong? :?:

BTW, how large is the minimal dump?

I. download regie
2.I open reggie but i need to extract files
3. i extract the files
4. i click on icon with a man that has a label of reggie level editor
5.i need to browse for folder
6then this appears

this folder doesntnt seem to have the required files. in order to use reggie, you need stage folder from the game, including texture folder and the level files contained in it.

what am i doing wrong do i need to do something with the game first please respond

You have to launch Boot.dol using homebrew channel or an exploit, and choose extract required reggie files. Then copy \Reggie to your computer, and direct reggie to that.

Quoted from the official tutorial

==============================
1. Dumping Stages - Original Disc Only
by Bluebleeder7 (edited by Ithian)
==============================

Download reggiedumper.dol
Download Reggie! Level Editor

This is by far the easiest method to dumping your .arc files, but will only work with the original game disc. Since none of you
are pirating the game, and own legal copies, everyone should be able to use this method, right?

And I guess you mean specific, right?
